Did you know there was a 18000KM network of paths across Colombia used to connect tribes? Los Caminos Reales are found all over Colombia. When the Spanish arrived half a millennia ago, they paved many of them with rocks and became known as the ¨Royal Roads¨.

I had Gabriel on the podcast to discuss his work mapping the paths from Santander, through Boyaca and all the way to Bogotá, Cundinamarca. He runs expeditions passing beautiful colonial towns, magnificent waterfalls and sampling typical foods, in a region which is my favorite part of Colombia to find adventure.
